New Years Beginnings

Happy New Year!

So Scott (my fiance) and I had our first workout today of the New Year. We first went for about a 45minute walk at a park in our town with our doggie since she was hyper (yes I consider this a workout, and you should too!).

Happy New Year from Byn and Bonnie!

At 3pm we went to the gym. The original plan was to start out with 30 minutes of running. However, about 4 minutes into my warm up I felt like I was coming down with something in my chest so I skipped out of cardio to go start weight training. I'm a firm believer of not pushing yourself unnecessarily. I put unnecessarily in there because I know a lot of die hard gym rats will critique this point of view, but I feel after years of training to listen to my body. There are many reasons for this including I still want to walk when I'm 30 haha.

So Scott did about 20 minutes more when I did my first set of legs (and talked), then the rest of our work out went like this..

Seated leg press: 3 sets of 15= weight 110lbs
Reverse Bosu Lunges: 3 sets of 15 each leg= no weight
Leg Extension Machine: 3 sets of 15= 35lbs

Endurance Arms: shoulder, bicep, triceps combos: these are too difficult to explain on a blog
Abs and stretch

Fun work out, and was very low key, just what we needed!

Stay Strong!
Byn
